Try something new: Pink coat

When it comes to coats, many people tend to reach out to beige, blacks or greys. For a very long time I did stick to these neutral colours too. And there is nothing bad about it. But with the time I decided that being bold and standing out is so much more fun in fashion. There are so many ways to be different, look different. For this look I combined a baby pink coat from with a bunch of basics. Whenever I wear a coloured statement piece I choose between two options. Either I keep the rest of the outfit simple or I work with complementary colours to make to look even more stylish. Now that obviously depends on my mood and also on the pieces. But if there is one thing that I try to avoid with a look like this, then it is a colour overload. As soon as too many different colours are combined into one outfit it seems too clownish and “unorganised” to me. But even that depends on the whole look and the single pieces. Because let’s be honest here. I think we are living in a century where everything in terms fashion seems to be trendy and chic.

But for this outfit I chose option one and went with a simpler look but still pimped it up with a patched silver bag and a dark plum lip.

Lots of Love,

Silky xo
