When was the last time you went out to the city and had a good time? And not just that. When was the last time you went out to the city, had a good time AND put some effort into your appearance? Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about. Lately I’ve become suuuuper make-up lazy. I don’t feel like putting on as much make-up as I used to. Neither am I interested in really putting together a stylish outfit. So, last week my sister and I decided to go out. I grabbed my brown pullover that is my go-to saviour but then I thought to myself: What if today was my last day? Do I really want to die wearing this old and boring jumper?
The answer was: No! Of course not. So what did I do? I pulled out the new pieces that I had purchased recently. When I bought them I thought that I will wear them on a fancy night-out or a decent event one day. ONE DAY! That was my mistake. What if that one day never comes? I might overreact a tiny bit but this seriously opened my eyes. Suddenly the movie Kal Ho Naa Ho made perfect sense (LOL! I know, I’m such a dork) I know this outfit is nothing extravagant but to me it’s just a small effort. An effort towards life. Also a little reminder to live everyday to it’s fullest. Why not dress up nicely everyday? Why not put some work into your outfits? Not for anyone else but just for yourself. What do you guys think? I would really love to read about your opinions in the comments below.
Lots of Love, Silky xo
